Feel-Good Story of the Year

Here's one of those stories that you would expect only in Hollywood. Apparently, this senior at a Rochester, N.Y., high school has been his basketball team's manager for years. The kid is autistic. As one of those "thank you" moments, in the last game of the year, his coach let him dress up and sit on the bench. Then, with their team up by double digits with 4:00 remaining, the coach gave him a chance to go in a play a little.

Now, this wasn't one of those cases where the coaches from both teams make a deal over a handshake before the game started. This was a legit game. So the kid goes in and tries a shot: big time airball. Then he misses an easy layup. Oh well, at least he got an experience for his life, right?

But then, the kid goes completely bonkers. He hits six consecutive three-pointers over the rest of the game, with defenders in his face. When the game is over, the crowd mobs this guy and they carry him off the court.

That. Is a feel-good story. Check it out and see some video here.
