My Old Advisor Makes "the List"

Back when I was at the University of Texas at Austin, my doctoral advisor was a brilliant and kind woman named Dana Cloud. Dana is one of the most intellectually stimulating and warm people I have ever met, and sure we had some intellectual differences, but she really helped me learn to think in new ways. She also happens to be a very committed leftist activist.

I guess that is enough for the right-wing nutzoid David Horowitz, who has seen fit to place Dana on his "100 Most Dangerous Professors" list. Also on the list: former UNC Comm Studies prof Michael Eric Dyson.

If it weren't so McCarthyite scary, I would offer my heartiest congratulations to all the members of the list, whether I thought they were great or just wacky. America doesn't need this kind of intellectual witch hunt.
